Sedimentology, subsurface utilization

Motivation and Scope
I am a geologist with backgrounds in clastic sedimentology and structural geology. I am particularly interested in ensuring that engineered carbon dioxide stores, which are used to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions to the atmosphere and thus to limit climate change, are secure. My research has involved studying naturally occurring CO2 reservoirs world-wide as analogues to engineered storage sites. More recently I have been investigating other types of subsurface utilization such as hydrogen or methane storage. Additionally, I am working on the origins of building stones of historic buildings.
Some of my research has been recently featured as video and a radio interview.
