Research

Motivation and scope

I am Quaternary geologist / sedimentologist by training, with a wide range of interests. My research focus is the recent geological history of the Alpine realm in the widest sense. I investigate landscape modifications, sediment transport and depositional environments from the mountain range over the (northern) Alpine foreland to distal settings such as the Upper Rhine Graben.
