As a Quaternary geologist and glacial geomorphologist, I am particularly interested in glacier variations and their climatic significance. My research involves geomorphological mapping with remote sensing data, field mapping, terrestrial cosmogenic nuclide dating, luminescence dating, radiocarbon dating, and the reconstruction of equilibrium line altitudes for precipitation reconstructions. My areas of interest are the mid-elevation (Variscan) mountain ranges in Central Europe, the Alps, and the Swiss Plateau. My PhD and PostDoc project aims to reconstruct Late Pleistocene glacier variations in the Southern Black Forest. See this page for further details.
